Leaving the lamias, Brondistine tries to live as a normal human woman, disguising her nature as a lamia. Sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing, she finds family, makes friends, attracts a lover, and gains independence. Shaken but strong, Brondistine narrates her story. She doesn’t spare the gory, harsh details of her actions, and she reveals her emotions. Let those unfamiliar with lamias read her story. A lamia can shed her snakeskin.

I was lucky to get a hold of a pre-release copy of this book, and I was immediately drawn into the imaginary world the author created. I can't say I've ever read anything quite like it ... part fable, part fairy tale, part adventure story, while remaining altogether completely unique. All in all, there is something for everyone, and you'll be enchanted by this story's timeless virtue and modern twist on ancient themes good and evil, love and hate. A quick and consuming read!
